Well, the bad news first. I've become very sick now, I can't pay my rent; actually I haven't been able to pay it for a couple of years, my car is awaiting repossession, and I've been having awful delusions (many of which you've seen me have here; I SO apologize, I thought I'd gotten kicked off the site! Embarrassing!)
The good news now. It looks like I'll soon be in transitional housing (thank you mr president for the funds) with medical care, counseling, and nice company. It will be so much better than that lonely abyss of an a apartment i just couldn't afford.
I'm getting moved to a position on my job with more hours, and soon a promotion, and if things work out with VocRehab, I'll start Online College and possibly become a cartoon writer. I've got a fun curling Bonspiel coming up too, and I'm becoming better friends with the other curlers, one of which happens to be a social worker. My rollergirl friends might come out to see me play.
Things are bad, but I do see them getting better. Anyway, thanks for being there for me.

Have you applied for disability yet. You can do it online. I'm on it also. www.ssa.gov
I'm so glad that you will be getting into transitional housing..I agree, much better than living alone. I couldn't ever live alone, heck I've never slept in a bed by myself
You can still work and be on disability, just you can't work as many hours. I think you can make 800/month from your job on top of disibility. It might be a good thing, especially if work gets too stressful, or if you want to focus all your time into school, and hobbies =D Anyway I'm glad things are starting to get better.. hugs

I always get turned down for disability because 1, they say I'm not a diabled person "I held a job for 7 years," 2, too much income. I want to prove that I live above the legal limit for SS, but still can't make a living, and only because I have to work my ass off when I'm too sick to make a living I still can't afford, just because I have nowhere else to go (until now.) As for the job, yes I worked those 7 years but I was tagged with "disciplinary problems," "performance issues," wrongful handling of the incidents, as well as blame-shifting after misconduct and unetical breaches on the part of my supervisor and others. You can tell this is all really Asperger related and things that weren't my fault, right? I had an appeal, but had no witnesses, many untrue things were said, the HR person blew confidential information of mine to the panel, and no mentally challenged person could stand trial like this. I went to County HR about the matter, once again alone because no one would accompany me, I told my story, was given absolutely no warning about self-incrimination, so I just told truths like an honest aspie, admitted to an incident, once again disability related (Namely, a retts tantrum responding to bullying by two bosses) and now am pretty much blackballed in the County. This omission I think was an unethical ploy by the HR person by the way. I now am getting no more chances to tell my story to those people and they to this day still refuse to become educated. And you know who they are? THE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT! You see why I want to move away now?
Are these things to explain to a disability attorney to get the SS? Also, would you like to hear more of my story? I'll send it to you personally if you like.
