And yep, you guessed it. I jumped out of the car, locked it and walked up to the house and then realized where the keys were. Now, the driver's side window is broken and is down by about a quarter inch. Naturally, I had no tools outside, I tried a stick first, but it broke too easily. Inside our outdoor shed, I found our dismantled lawn mower and it had the starter wire... I thought that might be stiff enough to trigger the power unlock mechanism on the door frame... It should have worked. Really. After about a half hour of trying, I finally gave up. I don't have the money for a locksmith, so I walked down to Publix and begged for their phone (since I'd left mine in the house) and called Colin and just asked him to come back home, take a personal day or something seeing as how he'd likely just gotten there and all and bail my ass out.
I trudged my way back home in the newly started rain and then sat on my trunk under the carport and passed out until Colin came home. He ended up having to do some work from home, so I played grand theft auto to take out some rage. Unfortunately, Wednesday is early release days for schools, so I got to pick Richard up at 1:30 instead of 3:00.
So in a long-winded sort of way, I guess what I'm saying is that I got my payback for locking you out of your car the other night.
